The prestigious area of Komurluk is situated just to the east of the harbour and Kalkan's old town.

The walk to Kalkan’s public beach and the harbour area (with its array of quality restaurants and shops) will take approximately 15-20 minutes. There is a coastal pathway that runs from Komurluk to the public beach and harbour area which will take about 10 minutes, however this is pretty rough underfoot.

Alternatively, you can access the harbour via water taxi from one of the beach clubs (Zest, Denizim, or Palm). These popular beach clubs offer direct access to the sea via spacious sundecks (Zest also has a large pool). Sun loungers and parasols are available for a nominal fee and the beach clubs also have excellent sea view restaurants. 

This area of Kalkan enjoys full sunshine until quite late in the evening and offers a great vantage point from which to watch gulets (traditional Turkish boats) sailing back to the harbour at the end of the day and, later, the sunsets for which Kalkan is famous.
