The narrow Turkish streets of the old town are lined with whitewashed shuttered buildings, festooned with brightly coloured bougainvillea flowers, intermingled with shops and terrace-topped restaurants. These cobbled streets twist down to the harbour, which is the focus of the town and where you can enjoy a meal whilst watching the world and elegant 'gulets' (traditional Turkish boats) go by. The gulets are available for private charter for a very relaxing day at sea. You can also take advantage of the water taxis that will transport you to various beach clubs situated around the bay.
